Language: EnglishThe driving force behind ALEX LAMB’S production career is obvious, but you’d be wrong in thinking that his successful start is based on this philosophy alone. He started writing melodic trance at the tender age of 14. After three years or so, his productions started to take on a harder sound, with ALEX drawing heavily from influences such as SHOKK, A*S*Y*S AND UBERDRUCK.
Translating his new sound back into Trance led to a chance-meeting which would prove to be one of the most influential of his career so far. A bootleg of a RUSSENMAFIA track ALEX had posted on his myspace site. This caught the attention of Swedish hard trance rising star, ULTRAFORM. Through him ALEX was introduced to MAUGUZUN and JOHAN EKMAN. Encouraged by their success and support long before ALEX secured his first release: AEX – FEEL MY WRATH, on DIGITAL PULSE, which eventually led to release on the main label, LIQUID PULSE, remixing for THE MIGHTY VANDALL, receiving an impressive 4/5 star rating in I-DJ MAGAZINE on his first release.
Fast forward to late 2008 ALEX again has another chance meeting with Meighan Nealon a member of one of the rising teams in the EDM world. Meighan introduces ALEX to their team which also comprises AURYN MUSIC’S roster. Easily catching the interest of label mates ASHLEY WALLBRIDGE and YUAN as well as general manager ADRIAN GARIBA. ALEX has now evolved his sound into something that blends his hard roots with a techy flair and aggression unique to him.
2009 saw Alex hit a top 20 peaking at number 16 Beatport.com trance charts on his very first release. This followed by a remix for the massive tune from 2008 “My blood” with yet another top 100 following. Alex has gained the support of Daniel Kandi, Kamui, W&W and Jonas Stenberg so far. His next “Horns & Halos” has also began to hit the air and seems destined to possibly eclipse his earlier work. On the DJ front Alex has now began the daunting task of trying to match his early hitting as a producer but now as the DJ. His first gig this year was in his Stockholm home town and is currently booked for the Auryn Dreams boat cruise in Toronto as well as Techno Parade in Paris. Alex has also managed to secure 2 guest mixes on the popular AHFM and preparing the launch of his own show shortly.
