Up and coming bass house producer, Tyler Lawrence’s new single "The Heet" is out today. This four-on-the-floor track grabs listeners right away with driving percussion and rousing basslines. Lawrence's upbeat single takes a turn towards heavy in the second drop, unleashing a nefarious, all encompassing blanket of bass.
“At the end of last year, life had gotten so fun for me and I wanted to capture that energy I’d been feeling. I’m usually pretty in my feels, so I wanted to create a song that embodied that 'feel good, let loose, let’s not worry about tomorrow.' Even now, I feel like people could use something to take them back to that feeling." said Lawrence.
To play his part in promoting the equality and anti-racism movement felt across the country. Lawrence has chosen to have all proceeds from “The Heet” be donated to the NAACP.
“Now more than ever, people are realizing and acknowledging the blatant racism in this country, the same racism that has been around for centuries and never truly went away. We are at a pivotal point in history that signals a chance for real change,” he said. “Music has always been such a big part of my life and so much of my work and creativity is influenced and inspired by the contributions of the Black community to music. I want to influence real change in any way I can. I want to encourage everyone I know to show support at marches, donate, use their voices to spread awareness and have tough conversations with family who have been blinded by their own environments. This contribution is just another small way I can try to influence change.”
