Review: Solarstone & Giuseppe Ottaviani - Falcons

26 September 2012 - - - The DJ List

The title of their new EP, Falcon, is appropriate as GIUSEPPE OTTAVIANI and SOLARSTONE make you feel like you’re flying in the air like a carefree bird. It's amazing how producers can capture an emotion or a moment and portray that instance into a track. As you play the radio edit, you hear a female voice that reminds you of THE ORB's “Little Fluffy Clouds,” giving it an outstanding introduction to the song. From start to finish, you can feel the great, positive vibe that oozes from the speakers.

There are two distinct remixes in the EP, one by Giuseppe Ottaviani and the other by JOHN O'CALLAGHAN. The first remix by Giuseppe Ottaviani has a slower BPM to it and has a lighter, more relaxing tone to the song while maintaining the essence of the original track. Because of the slower BPM, there is more of a build as the song peaks to its crescendo towards the end. The John O'Callaghan remix has more of an edge that has been added on to the original.
