In time for her performance at ABOVE & BEYOND’s Group Therapy 350 and prior to the release of her ‘Waves’ EP, QRION released single "Waves" on October 11. The title track is upbeat, and gets its name from the arpeggiated chords resembling the movement of ocean waves. To achieve this effect, Qrion used a replica VST of the legendary Roland Jupiter-8 synthesizer, utilizing its arpeggio system.
Born and raised in Sapporo, Japan, Qrion began experimenting with music in high school by using her phone. She now resides in San Francisco and has worked with producers like RYAN HEMSWORTH, GIRAFFAGE, SPENCER BROWN, and many more, and has had releases on labels including ANJUNABEATS, MAD DECENT, and Moving Castle.
Make sure to keep an eye out for the ‘Waves’ EP due October 25 and catch Qrion on tour across the globe this year!
