This weekend tens of thousands of fans will be coming from all around the world to witness the start of a new festival created by the electronic music legend, PORTER ROBINSON. Named Second Sky Festival, the event will feature a two-day lineup, specially curated by Porter himself in reflection of his wide musical taste. Headlining his own festival, Porter will bring back his critically acclaimed “Worlds Live” set, titled after his No. 1 charting album.

The festival is being produced by Goldenvoice, the company behind Coachella, and takes place at Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in Oakland. It will also be streamed on Twitch and raise money for the Robinson Malawi Fund, a charity dedicated to caring for cancer patients in developing countries.

Fans are eager after the artist took to Instagram to tease new music and revealed he dyed his hair blonde. It’s been years since any music has been released under this moniker but with Second Sky festival just days away, it’s the perfect time to test out some new, unreleased material. "The main point of this festival for me was to create a place where many of my favorite artists can coexist," Robinson says in an interview, adding that he is performing as Virtual Self both days of the festival to open, encouraging fans to come early and see the entire festival.
