Lightning In A Bottle Is Migrating to a New California Location for 2014

23 January 2014 - - - The DJ List

Known for their colorful parties and love of funky beats, the Los Angeles based production team known as the The Do Lab has a few tricks up their sleeves for the coming year. First off, the team has been compiling a diverse and musically eclectic lineup for each weekend of Coachella, they've stacked their Winter Concert lineup around the Los Angeles and San Diego areas, and last but most definitely not least: they have their own festival to get ready for. Lightning in a Bottle was one of the highlights of last year's festival circuit and for great reason - their fusion of music, art and community brings about kindred spirits from all across Southern California for a weekend of sunshine, yoga and incredible live entertainment.

What originally started as a private birthday party back in 2000, has manifested itself to a four day festival packed with a menagerie of the most eclectic people you could dream up. There's a thin line between a live performer or entertainer and a festival go-er, and the participants of Lightning in a Bottle skip down it with a smile on their face and a bounce in their step. After several snafus related to festival security as well as location, the teams at the Do Lab and Lightning in a Bottle are pleased to make two announcements: first, LIB is moving back to Memorial Day Weekend (May 22-26th) where it began and, most importantly, it will definitely be at a new location.

Past musical headliners for Lightning in a Bottle have included - PURITY RING, NICOLAS JAAR, RUSKO, PAPER DIAMOND< PANTYRAID, EMANCIPATOR, ESKMO, LEE BURRIDGE, JOEL MULL, MARQUES WYATT, BASSNECTAR, GRAMATIK, J.PHLIP, PUMPKIN, SHPONGLE, THE GLITCH MOB, THRIFTWORKS, MIMOSA, NICK WARREN, CLAUDE VONSTROKE, PRETTY LIGHTS, BEATS ANTIQUE, and BONOBO. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Lightning in a Bottle also boasts multitudes of live yoga sessions, speakers like Alex Grey and sustainable food courses. Keep tabs on all things LIB orientated - like tickets and lineup announcements - through their socials as well as through The Do Lab; this is one festival not to be missed!
