This Memorial Day Weekend, San Diego production team LED Presents brought the first My Life Every Day USA to their home venue, the Valley View Casino Center. This two-day festival featured only one stage, but two stacked line ups that kept the crowd dancing from doors opening at 8 PM to the final performance that ended at 4 AM each night. American flag prints were aplenty and blue and white light sticks lit up the packed arena. LED Presents' massive stage set up was no disappointment per usual with dazzling laser light effects and fireworks to highlight their enormous LED screens.
Friday started 8 PM sharp with BRAZZABELLE, Los Angeles based female DJ/producer known for her house techno sound. JUST BLAZE took the stage next, famous for his "Higher" tune with BAAUER. CONGOROCK and DIGITALISM's DJ set brought in the late comers.
There was definitely a buzz felt in the room before the next performance as everyone anticipated FEED ME's set. Earlier in the week, Feed Me's Twitter got fans talking as he posted about his desire to "make music, art", that couldn't be accomplished through DJ-ing. He announced he would stop playing shows in Fall, "at least for a while". Whether or not My Life Every Day USA was to be one of Feed Me's final stops, he brought the house down with his one-of-a-kind bass heavy hitters.
The Presets performed a live set at midnight that led into Baauer's trap heavy set that got the crowd grooving. A-TRAK kept the dance mood going and BRODINSKI and GESAFFELSTEIN closed out the first night of My Life Every Day USA.
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs took the groove a mellower direction with his live set, featuring dancers as well.
Axwell commanded the crowd back to jumping and dancing with his hour and a half set that opened with Greyhound and featured all of the most beloved Swedish House Mafia tunes. The crowd sang Don't You Worry Child in harmony and he closed out his set with an emotional Save the World.
Martin Solveig, dressed to his nines for a tennis match, played his newest song Hey Now and kept the crazy hype up by waving around an American Flag with his face plastered across it. He then began to strip to a mash up of Suit and Tie and played Kaskade's newest song, Atmosphere, while shirtless.
Diplo kept the energy alive with his "twerk" crew and remix of Get Lucky and Lana Del Rey's Summertime Sadness along with his notorious tunes. CLOCKWORK closed out the final day of My Life Every Day USA.
Thank you to San Diego and LED Presents for throwing the best Memorial Day Weekend party in Southern California! We can't wait to be back again for LED's top notch events.
