The new album from Drake hasn't even hit stores and already the remixes coming from it outshine the originals but one remix stands well above the rest. When a producer resuscitates any overplayed jam, it almost feels like magic and that's precisely what 2-Step and Garage sensation KASTLE does with Drake's overplayed single "Hold On, We're Going Home." With a chilled out, sexy vibe this remix becomes the perfect jam for a Sunday afternoon or a late night playlist.
Originally from the streets of Pittsburgh, Barrett Richards - aka KASTLE - began his affinity for music at the ripe age of twelve, teaching himself both piano and guitar. From there, it was game on, taking his sounds to the underground rave culture of the North East and acquiring an audio engineering degree. He began cultivating his unique grungy, rhythm and blues infused sound and in 2012, cultivated his own record label, Symbols. His sound sits on that thin line between Deep House and Techno but either way you spin it, it's great music to move and grove to - which he proved during a stellar live set at this year's Lightning in a Bottle.
His remix of Drake's "Hold on, We're Going Home" is available for free on his Soundcloud right now so don't miss out on your chance to snag it!
