I was doing the usual lurking of Twitter yesterday, filled with cat pictures and people complaining about one thing or another (the usual). I came across a tweet that read "Additions additions additions". I stopped to see who posted the tweet, and it was none other than Pasquale Rotella. In the middle of a mini freak out, I opened the picture to see NEW additions to the EDC Las Vegas lineup. The first name I saw? Gaia. Omg. Exactly a year ago, I remember watching Ultra Live from my living room and seeing GAIA (Benno de Goeij and Armin Van Buuren) absolutely KILL their set and crying because I was not there to witness it in person.
Another set that I am absolutely STOKED to see is Wiwek. With the whole "Jungle Terror" genre rising in popularity, I'm excited to see how his set will play out and how many people will be into it.
Here is a list of the new additions to the EDC Las Vegas Lineup:
CHUS & CEBALLOS
Out Of Hand
PROK & FITCH
THEE COOL CATS
In addition to the new sets, Insomniac and EDC Las Vegas announced 10 new things for this years festival.
When I saw this, I thought, "How could it get any better?" But Insomniac always seems to exceed expectations. The kineticCATHEDRAL last year was massive and beautiful on its own. This year, Insomniac announced the Crystal Village which has nature playing a prominent role in the beauty of a festival that is so technological. There will be a 360 degree stage called the "Funk House" as well. 360 degree stages are AWESOME, in my opinion. You are so connected with the set and the crowd.
Said to be the prime meeting spot at the festival, Carnival Square will have food, merch, and everything in between!
The Skydeck will overlook the kineticFIELD with an awesome bar and prime viewing seating. You can email [email protected] to set up a reservation.
You can completely revamp your Skydeck Cabana the way you want to with decor, tables, etc. How sweet is that?
Art is such an important element to music festivals. It gives them a sense of culture and beauty. One new installation will feature over 500 bamboo poles!
FOOD. You can never get enough. I love trying new restaurants naturally, so this will be up my alley. I should have been a food critic.
The upscale restaurant has a new name and a new menu. There is a three course meal for $180 and the three day VIP meal is $88 per person. You can purchase tickets here!
With more room to relax, EDC Las Vegas has installed more decompression spots, if you need to get away from all that bass.
Festival Fashion is the best fashion, am I right?
So many decks with so many view points! This will be at the cosmicMEADOW stage for your viewing pleasure.
