Certain producers are always active making music, touring, expanding their creative horizons with new projects defining their careers not necessarily with an explosive entry to the scene, but more notably holding their place, well respected and with a dedicated fan base. Sébastien Devaud, aka AGORIA, is one of these guys, active since 1999 carving his well-earned niche in the world of techno. Aside from his work as a DJ and producer, Agoria also founded Nuits Sonores 10 years ago, an annual city based music festival in Lyon and the successful record label Infiné. Agoria's return to New York this Saturday, April 4th, as part of his current US Baptême Tour is certainly going to be a full house, he is well-loved by the Verboten family.
The stunning "Hélice"EP was recently released on Hotflush, followed just last week with the "Baptême" EP on Kompact. If that's not enough then came another surprise earlier this week with the long awaited release of "Alluvion" on Innervisions proving that this man is on fire right now. Agoria comes to New York heavily laden with some seriously impressive deep and melodic techno to challenge Verboten's entirely capable Martin Audio System. Take a listen to "Baptême" and "Alluvion" below and catch more of Agoria's talent on his Soundcloud.
A few tickets are still available so get yours here. Agoria will be supported by Prime Numbers label head TRUS'ME, Berlin's Best Works label head ANDRE LODEMANN, and Verboten resident NIKI MCNALLY, ready your dancing shoes and prepare yourselves for a big night out!
