CID Music

Carlos Cid, who goes by the stage name CID, began as a DJ before very quickly becoming an in-demand producer. Born in Queens, New York, he started his career with a passion for house and dance music at the early age of 11 years old. He would regularly visit his local record stores where he could catch up with the latest singles and chat with DJs who were stocking up on new material. At 12, he started DJing himself, and it wasn’t long until he started creating a reputable image for himself by playing at major events in the New York area.

It wasn’t long until CID began performing across the United States and Europe while gaining more experience with producing and remixing. In 2014, he earned a Grammy Award for his work on Cedric Gervais’ remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness,” boosting his presence in the DJ world. Shortly afterwards, CID began collaborating with renowned artists such as Kaskade, Sharam, Tïesto, both in the studio and on-stage. With some of his hits gaining notorious popularity such as “Us” (with Kaskade) and "Together” (with Conrad Sewell), CID continues to not only perfect his sound but show off his talent, as he has recently been nominated for yet another Grammy Award in 2019 for best-remixed recording of his remix of LSD’s “Audio.”
