We’re widening the scope of Boiler Room Festival with City Programme, a series of off-camera events across London’s best venues. We kick of City Programme at Somerset House Studios with a celebration of São Paulo’s queer community, thriving in spite of the huge discrimation they face from an increasingly conservative presidency.

Headlining is the UK debut of Linn da Quebrada, the queer trans rapper and self-professed ‘gender terrorist’ described as the ‘new voice of Brazil’ by Mykki Blanco. Joining her are Batekoo, a collective prioritising a safe and accessible inclusive dancefloor space for the LGBTQ+ community in São Paulo. London’s femme + non-binary collective and Somerset House Studios residents Resis’dance round out the night.

We’ll be screening ‘Bixa Travesty,’ Kiko Goifman and Claudia Priscilla’s award-winning 2018 documentary following Linn da Quebrada.
