Following his epic return to the live stage at Coachella, Gesaffelstein has announced a run of tour dates for fall. Kicking off on November 7 in San Francisco, CA, the tour will make stops in major markets including Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston before wrapping in Atlanta on November 27. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on Friday, April 26 at 10am local time. The upcoming tour will feature all new live production, which Gesaffelstein debuted at Coachella in the darkest performance ever. Praised by Paper, who noted that “few acts managed to make as big an impact as Gesaffelstein,” and hailed as “awe-inspiring” by Billboard, the sonically andvisually stunning show featuredintense lighting design and a masked Gesaffelstein performing against a wallof deep darkness. His set features the exclusive use of Vantablack VBx2, making Gesaffelstein the first artist ever to use the substance in a live performance. Vantablack is the super-black coating used primarily in space applications which holds the world record as the darkest substance made by man. Gesaffelstein’s set featuresa monolith design using the coating, which was applied to the concave surface of the monolith to create the illusion of infinite depth and blackness -a black hole on stage.
