Yoshi, or Rory Taylor to his mates, started off DJing in Leeds at the age of 12 in his bedroom. He quickly progressed to doing various club nights and house parties through out Leeds by the age of 14.
His Big break came the same day he finished his GCSE exams, where he got a guest mix spot on Galaxy 105 (Regional Radio), on Andi Durrant’ show. He then started playing bigger and better clubs and has since gone back on Galaxy numerous times as a guest DJ.
Now aged 17, he and Richie B, are setting up a weekly night in Leeds, which will start off progressive and build through to Acid Techno. The night is set to fill the void which Leeds has, of a lack of hard edged nights. SO watch this space for more info.
Rory’ new style is a culmination of Italian based Techno/Trance forms the BXR boys (Picotto, Piu etc) and progressive trance and hard bassline techno.
