Trent McDermott is a man on fire. His undeniable talents belie an insatiable drive that is taking Trent to the very top. His seamless fusion of underground integrity, big room swagger and an innate pop sensibility give Trent the diamond edge that has seen him becomes Melbourne’s number one trance export. Whether it be a crowded stadium, festival berth or the smallest of clubs- Trent commands the room in a way that foretells a future steeped in success.

Currently ranked number 19 in Australia’s Sony Inthemix Top 50 DJ Poll, Trent has left a lasting impression on punters Australia wide. His unique blend of trance and progressive soundscapes have since him support the world’s biggest names including Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Carl Cox, Above & Beyond, BT and Tiesto, with whom Trent played support for all sold out shows on both his “Kaleidoscope & Elements Of Life” tour.

If playing at the history making Sensation event on New Year’s Eve two years running wasn’t enough, Trent was also the only Australian act besides TyDi to be invited to join the Trance Energy national tour in 2009- also taking on mixing duties for the ever popular Trance Energy CD compilation alongside Sean Tyas and Simon Patterson and more recently the “Airport” compilation with Sied Van riel. Trent is now a firm festival favourite having played primetime spots at Stereosonic, Creamfields, Future Music Festival and Gods Kitchen as well as his own national and International headline club dates.

On the production front, Trent is just as busy. After a string of successful releases on Australian label 405 Recordings, Trent had the good fortune to collaborate with tyDi to remix Rank 1’s classic ‘L.E.D. There Be Light’ on the High Contrast label. Another ‘too hot to touch’ collaboration see’s Trent joining forces with Binary Finary for a brand new single from the timeless pair which has just been supported by Armin Van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Sean Tyas and more. Add to that Trent’s “Memiors Of A Podcast” show and you have a picture of the work ethic through which he has forged his success.
