Moving to the bright lights of Paris at the tender age of 18, he soon discovered that he had a passion for the lively and atmospheric nightlife, but more specially the underground progressive house music scene.
Upon the purchase of his first CD decks, Tom set out to teach himself the art of mixing.He was amazed at the mind blowing energy and positive vibes created at events such as Moonpark and Creamfield in Buenos Aires, and the Sydney Mardi gras. Tom quickly realised that he too possessed a desire to move a crowd, and is heavily influenced by the giants of the progressive scene: Hernan Cattaneo, Satoshi Tomiie, Darren Emerson and Sasha.
Dj Tom Montess’ infectious personality and social savvy, rapidly allowed him to network and make valuable contact amongst the elite of Paris clubland.As a result, Tom started his djing career playing out to crowds in one of Argentina’s most prestigious venues,the Palacio, now known as Alsina, in the bustling capital of Buenos Aires. He impressed so much that now holds an Alsina residency at the soiree Champs Elysees parties.
Dj Tom Montess has worked hard to stand out from the competition and has developed a unique sound, mixing hard hitting tribal house to more progressive, trancy beats.
Not only has Tom already made e name for himself in Argentina, he is also creating a buzz in his hometown of Paris. He holds down regular spots at the immensely popular Progress nights (recently voted Best parties night by viewers of the gay TV channel Pink T.V).
To add to his long list of appearances Tom also started out featuring as a guest DJ for the crazy Six-Am after parties at the infamous Bains Douches, to which he is now resident DJ.He has also stared alongside other guest DJ’s for nights such as Maximale, special New year parties but to mention a few.
Recently Tom finish 2nd best french DJ at Pink TV Best of Clubbing 2006 at his 1st nomination.
These sets attracted the attention Of European Big Parties as “La Demence” in the big club The Fuse in Bruxelles and “la loveball” and the “Circuit Festival” in Barcelona.
