Tom Allan has been involved in dance music industry in one form or another for over 10 years. Growing up as a teenager in Melbourne, Toms early influences came from his older brothers love of house and rave music in the early 90s. By the time he was 16, Tom was out in Melbournes clubs and raves and shortly after began working as a promoter and DJ for Melbourne promoters/events organisers – Hardware Corporation. Over the next few years Tom played at some of Melbournes biggest dance parties such as Hardware Universe (97/98/99) and the Transatlantic parties which featured international DJs such as Patrick Lyndsey, Humate, Terry Mullen, Derrick Carter and more. After leaving Australia in 2001 and relocating to London after 12 months traveling, Tom got back behind the decks and quickly established himself as a talented newcomer to the London scene. Things went well, and within two years he gained a reputation for his unique, energetic sets of house music and his successes both in London and abroad included regular gigs in all of Londons biggest clubs such as Pacha, Ministry of Sound, The Egg, Turnmills and The Cross, as well as international gigs in Ibiza (Space, Kanya, Eden Rooms, Savvanah), Marbella (Glam, B4 Club), China (VIP Rooms Shanghai), and Turkey (Aquamarine club Izmir). He now holds residencies with two of Londons biggest nights – Dirty @ Pacha, and Positiva Calling @ The Cross as well as co-promoting and DJing for underground house & electro night DirtyGroove. In recent months Tom has been on the billing with acts such as Soul Avengerz, Richard Dinsdale, Michael Gray, Paul Harris, Jonathan Ulysses, Brandon Block, Jon Carter, Carl Cox, Chocolate Puma, Axwell and many other top local and International DJs and the list keeps growing as Tom is picked to support many of the worlds best acts. Toms ever growing schedule of main room gigs in major clubs in London and Internationally, has firmly established him as a leading DJ both locally and abroad and he will be rounding off 2006 with gigs in Ibiza, Marbella & Russia.
