Alice Rose, the surprising and inspiring Danish musical phenomenon, and one-woman-electroavantgarde-show, has started a new project called Tiger Rose. After releasing three highly musical dream-pop albums as Alice Rose, the Cologne, Germany based avant-garde singer-songwriter has beamed herself onto the the planet Techno, and with the Tiger Rose debut, “Food for Dreams”, she’s firmly planted her flag. As Tiger Rose, Alice works the four-to-the-floor bass drum with enough space around it to make a cinematic playground for her musical imagination. And when she pours it on, she breaks free of the restrictive corset of regular dance music.
On “Food for Dreams” the Techno tracks pop to life, full of depth and groove as well as sparkling lightness. Gabriel Ananda, her long-time collaborator and friend, had his hands on the mix which makes it even more exciting. With the debut of Tiger Rose, a new imaginative musician has entered the Techno scene with the potential to inspire Techno and dance music fans alike. Listeners beware: this Tiger is going to make move and groove.
