Biography

The Tribal Warriors are Kevin Wright and Ziggy Slezak, two fast up and coming Tribal House DJs from York England.

At only nineteen these two guys have been gigging around the U.K for a few years now wowing crowds with their brilliant use of vinyls, cds and FX units.

At fifteen the guys first started getting into the music, listening to mix tapes by the likes of Sasha, Digweed and Steve Lawler on the way back from school. It was these mixes that convinced the guys to buy there first pair of decks a year later.

After hard practice and a lot of money spent on vinyls, they got there first gig at eighteen playing for a small night in the basement of a bar, in their home city of York. A promoter from the legendry Mint Club in Leeds (home of Back 2 Basics) managed to hear their set. Impressed by their technical ability and energy they brought with them, he instantly asked them to play the following night at the Mint Club.

As they began to play straight away getting the dance floor moving, the headliners of that night, Piliavin & Zimbardo, were amazed by their skill and obvious talent at such a young age. The Tribal Warriors were approached by Piliavin & Zimbardo and signed up to Distraekt Records as artists for the future.

Now presenting their own radio show as part of Distraekt Records, Distraekt Sessions, airs on various internet radio stations around the world. This has provided The Tribal Warriors an opportunity to reach a wider audience.

The Tribal Warriors are also set to have their first track, a collaboration between themselves and Piliavin & Zimbardo is due for release later in 2005.

At still only nineteen their rise has been Phenomenal and their obvious love for the music shines through when they play. They have a very bright future ahead of them.
