Sybel Calmon started in musical life at young age, lived in Spain – Barcelona for five years where he begins study classic piano and flute in “Escuela Clasica de Musica Barcelona”. When returned to Brazil, Sybel Calmon started the musical production and few years later, started as a DJ. He played and organized big parties in south america, the most important were the festivals: ELEMENTS / PHANTON / URBR Sessions / MTV Party / Renault Speed Beats and Tiësto Brazilian Tour 2007.
Now days work in an important venue in Brazil at “Bliss Bar” (every Fridays). Also important to say he just arrived from Europe Tour 2009 djing in some clubs and parties arround:
Milano (Toqueville Club / VOGUE Music), Barcelona (Living Club) and Lisboa (Dump Party). In Milano, Italy, Sybel played at “VOGUE Music”, associated with VOGUE magazine (fashion).
As music producer, Sybel Calmon already has several releases on Influential House Recordings (UK) / Stripped Digital (UK) / URBR Underground Records Brazil (BR) / Ananas Recordings (Ireland) / Smoke Island Rec (BR). Winkleman Live is one of the underground sides of Sybel’s productions. He also has a project started with his partner, the DJ and also producer Marcelo Andres Domancich that is Called Bitch Bros, with several releases on many labels as well. Has a weekly radio show at University FM 104.7. It calls HI TECH, every Thursday from 21 to 23h (brazil time), bringing the best on national and international e-music. Can be heard also via internet on www.universitariafm.com.br .
Sybel Calmon also is the label owner of Guilhotina Records and Urbanized Records. His style ranges from electro/acid to minimal/progressive/house and his tracks receive all support from important international DJs such as: John Aquaviva, Lee Neilson, Scott Langley, Norman H., Hernan Cataneo, Mark Knight, Mazi and Camilo Serna.
