Exposed to the San Francisco HOUSE scene in 1994, he wanted to put his own signature on the scene and in early 1995 set out to do just that. Playing then under the DJ name ‘Serendipity’ he gained his influence and skills through friends and local artists such as DJ Bloom, Jeno, and then Detroit native (now an SF resident) Joey Mazzola. Combining elements of mostly Chicago house as well as San Francisco house led him on a path to his first booking and NorthWest debut a year later in 1996, along side DJs Donald Glaude, DJ Liquid, and Quest in Washington. There he performed at the Kitsap Pavillion and immediately became a NorthWest favorite.
Since then he’ played gigs in Honolulu, Humboldt County, and around the local San Francisco underground and club scene.
Swing is also a co-founder of ‘OpenHouse’ a DJ collective with his brother and DJ partner ‘Unity’. Besides being able to rock the crowd solo on the 1’ and 2s’, the two can be seen playing as a 2×4 duo known as TwinSoul.
Swing has played everything from Garage to Hard House, and is now focused on all aspects of Funky House. House that makes anyone groove. Currently busy working towards producing his own music he can be seen in local S.F. parties still rockin’ the crowd.
