Stuntz resides near Chicago, IL and has been producing mixes since 2000 and spinning since late 2002.
The best word to describe his set is energy, and lots of it. Stuntz is quickly developing his style of fast pace beats that are sure to make you wanna move. Though NRG and psychedelic trance are pillars of his analog arsenal he keeps true to his first love and driving force, high energy trance.
Stuntz has hit the ground running over the past years after he made the transition from a strictly production DJ to a performer as well. He has appeared on the bill with such names as George Acosta, DJ Micro, Nigel Richards, Mark Almaria and Phantom 45.
In addition to focus of performing he is active in the scene through event coordination and promotion with ToyMaker Music Promotions. Stuntz has been producing cheerleading competition mixes for college and high school levels squads since 2000 under his real name of Matt.
Growing up in Central Illinois near Springfield, he had little exposure to electronic music. Stuntz was first drawn to electronic music in high school when he bought his first compilation CDs, but it wasn’t until college and hearing continuous mixes from Chicago land DJs that he became hooked. Stuntz attended his first party in the summer of 2000 in St Louis and it was that scene that educated him about the Peace Love Unity and Respect that goes along with the culture.
The name “Stuntz” came from his college years as a cheerleader for Bradley University. There he began producing competition mixes and continuous compellation mixes.
“Electronic music fuels my life. I listen to it when I’m getting up in the morning, driving, working out, and everything in between. The music is caffeine for my ears and I am an energy junkie.”
Always remember, “You’ll forget how tired you were the next day in a week, but you’ll always remember how much fun you had.”
