Biography

Currently storming their way to the top of the Club Charts are up and coming House production team ‘Soul Seekerz’. Having already established themselves as one of the most respected names of the moment courtesy of some hugely well-received remixes for the likes of Bananarama, Brand New Heavies, Disco Brothers, Solitaire, Sara Jorge and many more, they are now set to storm the charts (club and commercial) with their first original track ‘Perfection (Turn Me Upside Down)’ ’ a collaboration with Dannii Minogue. With previous peak chart positions of:

UK National Chart, Number 11

Music Week Upfront Club Chart: Number 1

Music Week Pop-Tip Chart: Number 1

DMC Club Chart: Number 1

DMC Mainstream Chart: Number 2

Music Week Coolcuts Chart: Number 5

DMC Buzz Chart: Number 5

the track (in it’s instrumental form) has already had 6 plays from Judge Jules on his Radio 1 show as well as numerous plays on Independent radio throughout the length and breadth of the country. DJ reactions so far have been nothing short of breathtaking and have contributed to the almost unprecedented number 1 positions for a track that was only available on a 1 track, limited issue promo CD.

They are currently hard at work in the studio working on numerous different projects and remixes. Some of you may have already heard their latest offering ‘Electric Shock 2005’ which is their own unique interpretation of the old Piano-House classic. This track has already received lots of interest and plays from Independent Radio and even got a play on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show last week (8th July). And if that was not enough there are more tracks on the way on the not too distant future?!

At the heart of the Soul Seekerz sound is their very unusual approach to their productions. At the ‘heart’ of Soul Seekerz are Julian Napolitano, Simon Langford and Andy Manston who have each had their own UK Top 20 successes in the past and who have now joined forces to bring Soul Seekerz to life. In addition though, and this is what they say is the key to their success, Soul Seekerz takes the form of a ‘collective’ of DJs and producers, each with their own unique abilities and insights and contribution to make to the Soul Seekerz sound. While not everybody will work on any given production, it is the different influences within the ‘collective’ that give Soul Seekerz their particular sound and this is also what will allow them to develop their sound over time and always stay ‘cutting edge’. So with a combined experience within the music industry of over 60 years it is little surprise that Soul Seekerz REALLY know how to deliver the goods?!be it a remix, and original production, or rocking the floor at a club night?!

Julian Napolitano has had several national chart successes and goes under several guises including JDS, Perpetual Motion, One Hit Wonder and Quo Vadis in the underground scene. He has remixed artists including Matt Darey, Orbital, Jason Nevins, Sonique, Vanessa Mai, Moloko, Dario G and PF Project, and produced many classic Club tracks in various styles including Break Beat, House, Funky House, Trance and even bootlegs and has worked with many top song writers including Rob Davis.

Simon Langford is best known for his Top 20 commercial hit with Dreamcatcher but has also released tracks under the names of One Hit Wonder, Phreaq, Generation X, SKF and The Arcane. He has been an engineer and programmer for many people and is still in demand for his programming skills.

Andy Manston was one of the founders of the now legendary ‘Clockwork Orange’ club night. With his massive experience of rocking the dancefloor he brings an invaluable influence to the Soul Seekerz sound. In addition to this he has also collaborated with both Julian and Simon on numerous projects including Perpetual Motion and Quo Vadis as well as his own productions under the ‘Mankey’ name.

Between them they have a great pedigree with clients including London Records, FFRR, Positiva, Perfecto, Incentive, Ministry of Sound, Serious, Universal, Warner Music, Radar, Satellite, Mondo and Wonderboy.

They have now brought to life Soul Seekerz?!their greatest achievement to date, and one which they both feel has been what everything up to this point has been leading to. Their new company ‘Soul Seekerz Productions’ has been set up to incorporate a wider field of productions that would not necessarily fall under the ‘Soul Seekerz’ moniker and the company currently has tracks signed to Gut Records and Seamless Recordings with strong interest from Subliminal and Skint/Loaded on a few of their other tracks. It seems that these are the ‘Golden Years’ for Soul Seekerz?!and they have only just begun!
