Sofia was born in Stuttgart Germany on the 13th of August and grew up in her Greek family as the youngest member. Sofia and her sister Anastasia form together as the R’n’B group “danacee”.
In 1997 the Toufa sisters have their first real backgroundvocal job with the hit single of the platinum selling artists, ”DIe Fantastischen Vier”. Producer Peter Hoff is rehearsing with them everyday up to six hours. From now on this means: after school directly into the studio. Danacee sing and dance for German major artists such as Fischmob,Afrob and Thomilla. They get featured by US rapper MCLyte and rai-singer Khaled and sing on remixes of international artists such as Bounty Killer.
Sofia proves that she has skills in choreography as well as song-writing. In 1999 danacee release their debut single, “Shop around” on Edel music which is followed by the highly praised soul-pop-r’n’b songs on their first album.
Sofia and her sister tour all over Germany with Jamelia, are the support act for Destiny’s Child, Mya and Montell Jordan and get to showcase their songs in Japan.
As danacee finish their second album “Spotlight”, they sign with Def Jam Germany and accompany US superstar Usher on his 87/01 Tour.
After six years in the music business Sofia decides to take a break. She wants to follow her own choice of creative goals in her own way and under her own direction. Sofia starts teaching her outrageous style and gives dance workshops that are being visited by dancers from all over Europe. She dances for numerous companies such as LG Electronics and is involved in youth drug prevention programs in the form of dance instruction. While incorporating elements of r’n’b and pop fused with funk rock to establish an explosive mix as basis for her future musical direction, she turns her attention to the skills of professional acting.
Her talent is discovered during a casting and in 2005 Sofia makes her TV debut in the RTL/Action Concept series,”Wilde Engel”-Wild Angels – a starring role in an episode which proved to be a huge success. Right after that she’s being asked to sing on Ray Wilson’s (Genesis) forthcoming solo album.
