At 22 years old Jeff Doubleu is no new kid on the house music block. In the past three years he’s created over 50 originals and remixes, releasing on some of the world’s biggest underground labels including Jack Union, Southern Fried, and Dim Mak.
As a kid, Jeff was a keen sportsman and always outdoors – he had no interest in computers. But while studying computing at school he met a friend who introduced him to music production. It wasn’t long before he ditched the Tennis racket for a set of studio monitors and ultimately his abs for a beer belly.
Since then Mr. Doubleu has remixed the likes of Diplo & Laidback Luke, Hijack, Larry Tee and Dirty South, and his original productions have gained support from some of the dance world’s biggest names including Switch and the Crookers. His collaboration project with Tom EQ as the Potato Heads has also taken house music by storm – with their chart-topping smash “Trumpet Dance” and remix of TJR’s massive “Booty Move” blowing up dance floors worldwide.
Jeff’s DJ sets are action-packed with jacking beats and bottom-heavy grooves and his skills have blessed the decks across Europe and beyond, including residencies at Electrocute and Phunkers (Holland) and tours of Australia and South Africa. 2012 is set to be a big year for Jeff with new solo releases and a collaboration with Hijack set for release on Jack Union, and more Potato Heads tracks and remixes in the pipeline.
