Having been born to and raised by a French Canadian mother and an Indian father, Shahin was brought up in a multicultural environment. At only the age of 6, he began guitar lessons. His passion for music was fuelled by all of the greats, such as Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and many others. At the age of 10, Shahin took up the drums and his love for percussions and rhythm flourished. He had just set the foundations for his future love, Techno. Shahin was introduced to electronic music at the age of 17 and not long after, at the age of 23, Techno became his muse, influencing him to pursue a career as a DJ. He entered a DJ competition at a local afterhours club in Montreal and won a residency. Over the years, Shahin’s sound has been influenced by artists such as Adam Beyer, Ben Klock, Ilario Alicante, and many more. One of his favourite DJ experiences was to bring support to Nicole Moudaber and Victor Calderone at Beachclub in Montreal. He has also supported Danny Tenaglia, Len Faki, Ramon Tapia, Julia Govor, Mark Reeve and many more. Known for his hard-hitting afterhours and festival techno, Shahin also has a deep, sexy and groovy style he expresses with a solid residency at Velvet Speakeasy in Montreal. Perfectionist at heart, refining and keeping his sound updated is crucial. Finding new and exciting ways to move and connect with the crowd are what he strives for. It’s all about the journey and the love and passion we share for music.
