Sean Glass is a modern multi-hyphenate. While the energy he generates begins in the music space, it navigates equally amongst parallel industries of technology, branding, live events and lifestyle. Sean’s greatest and most unique skill has been his simultaneous navigation of the mainstream worlds of major record labels and brand consulting with his undeniable influence on underground and tastemaker culture.
SG built his name starting with the hottest New York City nightclubs and then his own underground parties. In that time, he has played huge festivals and private events for some of the biggest brands in the world, and consulted for record labels, brands and technology companies.
What distinguishes Sean from other DJs out there is his company Win Music. In 2013 he established his own record label with the signing of Duke Dumont. In unprecedented fashion, just seven months in, Win’s first release “Need U (100%)” was nominated for the Grammy Award Best Dance Recording.
As a DJ, SG can command a room in practically any genre. He started out playing Hip Hop, but has become much better known for his House sets. He describes his style as simply crossover dance music. That diversity has allowed him to claim a wide range of highlights with residencies at clubs like Le Baron, Output, Top of the Standard, Soho House, Sankeys and Space to name a few, festivals like Coachella, Governor’s Ball, Electric Daisy Carnival, Life is Beautiful, and sharing bills with a laundry list of the greatest artists in the world like James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem), Lady Gaga, Diplo, DJ Premier, Mark Ronson, Paul Oakenfold, Phoenix, Q-Tip, Skream & Benga, Two Door Cinema Club, The Smiths, Childish Gambino, and many, many more.
Before founding Win Music, Sean grew his foundation in A&R and Marketing through jobs with Universal Republic Records, Epic Records, Nervous Records, Cornerstone Promotions, Fader Magazine, and Music Supervision for New Line Cinema. Currently, alongside Win, he still works with Glassnote Records, home to Phoenix, Mumford & Sons, Two Door Cinema Club, CHVRCHES, Childish Gambino, The Temper Trap, Robert Delong, Daughter, GIVERS, Flight Facilities and more. Sean has worked with brands like Samsung, Heineken, HP, Spotify, Sony to name a few.
Sean can be equally comfortable in a Madison Avenue conference room as he can in a Bushwick warehouse at 6am with 5000 ravers. While Win is the centerpiece of Sean’s work, his DJ career has long extended into event planning, curation and production. In addition to many underground events, Sean has helped build Bang On! NYC, New York’s first legal and now largest warehouse party. This summer Bang On! extended itself into a festival with the inaugural Elements Fest. Win Music also co-hosted its own stage at the inaugural Life Is Beautiful Festival in Downtown Las Vegas, a multimedia festival that is part of Zappos Ceo Tony Hsieh’s Downtown Project, the rebuilding of Downtown Las Vegas.
