Sean began DJing at various clubs and parties in 1992. He spent 1997 as a resident DJ for The Club at Firestone in Orlando, Florida. Spinning mostly House, Downgroove and Ambient in the chill-out den every Saturday night with regular guest spots in the main room. He also played at the 1997 Zen festival, a seventeen-thousand person party held in Central Florida. Sean has performed all across the country and also held a monthly residency in San Jose, Costa Rica at the Contacto parties with Tini Tun of Mexico City. He was the featured guest DJ at The Pervert Lounge in Mexico City for their second anniversary party. He has been honored to spin with such DJ’ as Sasha, John Digweed, Josh Wink, Terry Francis, Nick Warren, Dimitri, Three and Global Communications to name a few. Aside from DJing he formed the production team of ‘Freelance Icebreakers’ with partner Jimmy Van Malleghem. The Freelance Icebreakers just recently completed their contract to Stress records in the UK. He has produced tracks with house veterans Sam Mollison (“Dreams”) , Mick Parks (“Eight Mile Sound”) and Gaetan Schurer (“Unbound”). More recently Sean began a solo project called “Sean Q6 Thing” focusing on House-Techno and Down-Groove. These upcoming releases can be found on Twilo records out of New York. He was invited to play in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the middle of June 1998 and played at ‘Mammut’ in Lima, Peru for New Years 1999. As of June 2000 Sean will begin a residency at Twilo with Sasha and John Digweed, replacing Jimmy Van M after his three years there. He also shared a dream residency with DJ Apollo at “The Crowbar” in beautiful downtown Orlando, playing house and techno in one of the most upscale candle-lit wood and brick clubs to be found anywhere in America. His unique style of House and Techno has become more and more in demand at both parties and clubs across the country and abroad. Look for The Freelance Icebreakers latest remixes on Flying Rhino and Bedrock. Their remix of Bedrock’ “Voices” is featured on Sasha and Digweed’ mix compilation, “Communicate”. He is currently involved in a studio project with Three from Hallucination Records in Tampa under the name Second Hand Satellite’. Their first single “Multiple Mirrors E.P.” should be available on Hallucination in early September. His plans for the future include more travel as part of Sasha and Digweed’ North American “Communicate” Tour and more production work with as The Freelance Icebreakers , Second Hand Satellite’ and of course, Sean Q6 Thing.
