More Music

Even with music being an essential part of my life as long as I can think, I had never touched a fader until Summer 2008.

Good friends invited me to come to the “Fusion” festival and that event really got me to find my fascination for the feeling of electronic dance music.

Coming back from the festival, I got myself a pair of crappy turntables and a cheap 2 channel mixer ,started to discover interesting songs and artists & to learn the basics of mixing.

At the same time the first Rockethead songs “Fire” & “No use for an aim” were produced. After a few months the first bookings flew in and in november 2008 the debut show was performed.

Since my roots are pretty much in Rock’n’Roll, Metal, old Progressive & Art Rock stuff as well as in Industrial music I’m always willing to transpose

the powerful moments and the deep and often dirty sound of those genres into electronic music and combine them with the impulsive & pushing rythms of Electro, House and Fidget tracks.

In the course of 2009 over 20 shows were played in several clubs in northern germany and the first radio appearance on “PlusMinusAcht” took place. So far 8 Rockethead songs and about 20 mixtapes were produced, mixed & released on many internet networks and blogs.

2010 looks even more promising, it just started with making it to rank 13 of worlds officialy biggest DJ Contest ever, the Next Generation DJ Contest, sponsored by Pioneer, Beatport, The DJ MAG & Tonium. While the first open air festival booking just came in and the preparations for the sequel of DIY party “Elektrosmog” with local heroes “Krawallwasser” are running as well as a bunch of new tracks and remixes are in the making & there’s more to come…

Thanks of course to every supporter & for every honest opinion too :)
