Robert Gitelman (32) began his career at the tender age of 14. Three years later he played as a resident in one of the biggest clubs in Israel, called âComputerâ. This opened the doors for him nationally, and Robert went on to play in every club in Israel.
On Radio bu99FM, the most popular radio station in Israel for dance music, Robert got a weekly club show and hosted the biggest names in the world like: DJ Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Benjamin Bates, M.I.K.E (Push), Armin Van Buuren, DJ Scot Project, DJ Wag, Erik Morello, DJ Asrid, Phats and Small, DJ Dimitri, Christian Froot, DJ Taucher, Misja Helsloot, DJ Montana, Talla and many, many more!
After his showâs success the biggest record label in Israel Phonokol asked Robert to compile and mix his very own club-trance compilation series called âclub99â and after a massive success Phonokol decided to make another series called âparty lineâ.
Robert has played all over the world including the most exclusive venues in the UK, Ibiza and Cyprus. In the Netherlands he frequented all the major clubs like the iT, Escape, Dance salon and the Master theatre. Hence, Robert has proven his talent not only in Israel but worldwide.
When he felt he gained enough experience while spinning the wheels of steel, Robert decided to produce his own music, starting with experimental underground dance music.
His first track that was signed was DJ Robert & The Party freaks Going up (1996 Rhythm Import).
Together with his recent partner, Jaron Martinez Robert produced the track âDreaming about Paprikaâ which got re-released recently and rocked not only every chart in the world but also got into the âlove paradeâ compilation.
Together with Jaron Robert produces under several guises including G&M Project, 2 Players, Robert Gitelman, Jaron inc., Taze and DJ Robert & the Martinez bros.
The first massive breakthrough in the Netherlands was the anthem âFeeling the sunriseâ under the name of âG&M Projectâ [ID&T].
The success of âFeeling the sunriseâ was outstanding, it got support from every major DJ in the world like: Ferry Corsten, Marco V, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Judge Jules, DJ Stigma, Push, Scot Bond and Blank and Jones. It made it as far as compilations like: Trance Energy 2002 Compilation; Ferry Corsten world tour – Tokyo; 538 Drive-In Show compilation; Mad-house 2002 Mixed by DJ Jean; ID&T Trance 3 Compilation; Gatecrasher Experience Compilation; International djs at Goliath mixed by DJ Stigma; DJ Marckey in the mix; B a clubber 2001 mixed by DJ Robert Gitelman for Radio bu99FM; Trance energy 2003-2004; Sensation 2003-2004; And more and more!
After âFeeling the sunriseâ the world got shocked by Robertâs next bomb âSignetâ under the guise â2 Playersâ.
This track was immediately picked up by the German label âAfterglow recordsâ and got a Plastic angel remix. âSignetâ Became a No.1 hit in the German selling charts and signed to âHooj Choonsâ in the UK.
When Hooj saw the massive success of âSignetâ they decided to give Robert one of the biggest projects of the year, the 2003 Remix of â3 Driversâ Greece 2000, not even released yet Robertâs remix for âGreece 2000â got massive support from DJs around the globe.
