Biography

The Dutch DJ/Producer Robaco Bossá, born in Amersfoort in 1988 had a burning passion for music from the age of 11. He started in his younger years with drumming, but swiftly moved on to combining his own beats with other instruments.

Through the years, Robaco developed as a DJ/Producer and discovered he could anticipate what people want to hear at parties in his dj-sets. He made numerous dance floors shake with his energetic combination from tech, electro & minimal house, stirred up with a lot of groovy and funky elements.

It is no wonder that his talent was soon discovered and he was asked to perform at clubs like The Level, Escape, Monza, Hotel Arena, Club 7, Brothers and more to name that began regularly booking the young DJ.

In the beginning of 2009 Robaco’s career continued its rapid rise with him winning a DJ contest in the area of Utrecht and he had his first record deal; ‘Bounce It Up’, which immediately reach an internationally audience by the support of Roger Sanchez worldwide radio show ‘Release Yourself’. The record companies followed suit the rest of the year and his sounds were receiving support from established names in the dance scene such as Roger Sanchez, The Shapeshifters, Chocolate Puma, David Penn, Laidback Luke, Housequake (DJ Roog & Erick E), Chuckie, Baggi Begovic, Gregor Salto and Youri Donatz to name a few..

Robaco Bossá spread his wings also outside the Netherlands by winning Defected’s worldwide “Your Music” Producer Competition’, the largest contest of its kind to have ever been held and gained considerable notoriety. With his track ‘Black Bird’ released on Defected Records and a studio session in the United Kingdom with the No.1 selling artists the Shapeshifters, Robaco starts to develop himself as an internationally recognised artist.

At the moment he’s working on a release for Zki & Dobre a.k.a. Chocolate Puma’s imprint ‘Pssst Music Recordings (NL)’ and furthermore some major projects on Funktion Recordings (USA), Defected (UK), PM Music (NL) and Born To Dance Records (UK)..

It is a sure bet that the name Robaco Bossá will continue to grow.
