Rich has been playing in and around New York City since 2000. His first public appearances were at Halcyon’s open turntable sessions, and since then he’s gone on to play at an ever-increasing array of clubs in New York City. This list includes ARC/Vinyl, Shelter, Crobar NYC, Pacha NYC, Spirit, Avalon, Centro Fly, Discotheque, Sullivan Room and Filter 14 as well as numerous bars, lounges, and loft parties. He has held several residencies at various smaller venues around the city. He was one of the “Be Yourself” DJ’s, appearing regularly as an opener or fill-in for Danny Tenaglia at his long running Friday night parties at Vinyl which was later renamed ARC. He has opened for or played alongside Steve Lawler, Tom Stephan (Superchumbo), Mr. C., Chris Fortier, Sandra Collins, Demi and Victor Dinaire. In 2004, Rich traveled to Germany twice to play Club Blackout in Rosenheim in Bavaria. In October, 2006 Rich played Club Secret in the Beyoglu neighborhood of Istanbul in Turkey.
His highly regarded mixes are featured regularly on high profile internet radio stations such as Proton Radio and eccentricbeats.com and just recently on Sirius Satellite Radio. He has recently started featuring his mixes on a podcast called ABL Radio run by the Brooklyn-based blog A Brooklyn Life. Rich has gained a reputation for seeking out and discovering rare or obscure records and this is reflected in his sets and CD’s. He draws his influences from many sources, including Terry Francis, John Digweed & Carl Cox. However, the person responsible for whom he is as a DJ today is Danny Tenaglia.
