Biography

After 12 months of hard work and disagreements to keep The Sonic Selection and Solid Sound Session fresh on Afterhours & Trance FM, 2011 shaped up to be a busy year for Paul & Chris. Whilst working on making sure every track selected for the shows was good enough project springing up behind the scenes took the majority of their time up. Chris, off to a flyer hearing Dark Cloud supported massively by Markus Schulz made its way to the shops on Markus’s Prague 11 release. Closely followed by Gordon Coutts – Different Angles Remix and Boxer & Forbes – Getting Closer Remix. Times were busy. Paul now coming into the studio more to work closely with Chris on what would be their first colab.

A few projects down and tried and it was coming along nicely. August saw the pair DJ together live at DIRTY DIRTY Ibiza in Bolton and their choices of remixed classics and bootlegs gave the Ibiza a techie but awesome twist and had the crowd flowing for the whole time. Twisted @ Tribeca followed and with a CDR in their wallet it was test time! LOCKED OUT was born. Signed the very next day to Spellbinding Records. Again, our man Markus grabbed this by the horns and played it throughout his GDJB shows. With its thumping baseline and unique dark melody Pobsky & Paul Atkinson as producers together was born! Locked Out then got an early start on the scene, with Markus Schulz releasing it under Armada Label on his Top 15 tracks of December and then again on his compilation 100 minutes of 2011. Things where looking very good even before the actual release came out. Arcalis & Binary Finary handed in quality remixes of it and the release is now closer than ever. The next month or so and the full release will be out there.

Their show on Trance Fm caught the attention of Trance Fm’s promoters and they landed a slot at Trance FM World Tour alongside Signum and Manuel Le Saux in the EPIC nightclub 53 Degrees, Preston, once again there choice of techy and dirty tracks mixed in with a couple of quality vocal tracks got the crowd going for the whole time and again Locked Out had everyone in the room reaching up! Ernesto & Bastien showing their support and hearing it fired out @ Rong, Manchester on Gareth Emerys 5 hour show and Markus Schulz in Birmingham. Markus Schulz editing for a ‘Big Room Remix’ this was just what they needed. New Year dawning, after their first years as DJ’s on Afterhours and Trance FM both got selected to end out the year in style, 1 hour mix for Trance FM and a 2 hour show for Afterhours on their EOYC 2011. UK in The MIx 005 exclusively to Afterhours was were they were asked to DJ separately and both shows went down a treat with unique mash ups and of course their own work included. After being asked to remix

Paul Trainers Quasar and our own side projects beginning to build up, more and more of this sound is going to coming thicker and faster in 2012 with the announcement of playing @ Rong, Manchester alongside Sied Van Riel, W&W and Jordan Suckley on February 10th at Venus Manchester, hopefully 2012 will be bigger and better for the duo PPA.

Friends for several years, the bond they shared, their mutual passion, their love for trance music. Clubbing together at every event they could get to, across the world sparked a dream, a dream of breaking into the trance music industry thereselves.

Pobsky, recognised with his producing skills, in the summer of 2010 got his first break with ‘’Final Cloud’’ on Spellbinding Records, Championed by Markus Schulz, became the 8th best tune of the yop 40 Global Dj Broadcast compilation, played at every major festival world wide worth mentioning and got support from Dj’s including Armin Van Buuren, Sean Tyas, Ronski Speed, Manuel Le Saux, Tydi, Jorn Van Deynhoven and many more. With the release of Some Trance it this Way and Dark Cloud imminent, its obvious that Pobsky could become one of the biggest new and upcoming producers of 2011.

DJ Paul Atkinson, Started Djing at a younger age, and it wasn’t long before his hard work paid off getting his first gig in the North West. He wanted more and started playing regular at various events in his hometown. Before he took Pobsky under his wing to learn him the art of Djing and vise versa.

The launch of The Sonic Selection on Afterhours and Solid Sound Sessions on Trance.Fm shows their intentions of becoming the best they can in the industry, and with gigs planned for 2011.

Its inevitable that P&P are a duo to be taken seriously
