Only been in the game for just 5 year and already all eyes are on Dj Plague! His sheer determination to fill the dancefloor through his multigenre 3 deck mashups is making the crowds go wild!
At the age of 11 the Plague was introduced to Drum and Bass by his older brother Krasht…est (Passive/ Aggressive) who would regularly blast out hardcore n dnb from his bedroom. The new Roni Size album newforms (1997) was a personal favourite and a true inspiration. The Plague was hooked on this sound and wanted more. By 2001 The Plague was attending as many raves in the area as he could get to. He did all he could to make it each weekend and study the techniques these Dj’s were using to work with the crowds. He knew this was where he wanted to be.
Starting out on a pair of belt drives back in 2006 the future looked bleak for a young Plague, or so he thought…..
Within a year he was approached by the local dnb crew Passive/Aggressive, who had been setting the scene for all things dnb in the local town of Aldershot, since the dawn of time. Together, with PA, he managed to secure slots on popular pirate radios stations; Logic and Radio Active FM, and support such acts as Original Sin (Playaz), Heist (Metalheadz), Lost (Hench) and Cause4Concern (C4CRecordings) at established nights Function, Renegade Soundwaves and Invertabass.
As of recent times Dj Plague has been seen to be taking a more solo path focusing on not only his dj skills but trying his hand at production, giving his 3dek mixes more of a personal touch and also handcrafting massive speakers.
