Paul was first exposed to the dance scene at a very early age, listening to tape packs & compilations from the old hardcore raves and the early UK trance explosion. As his taste in music changed he felt that just listening to the music was not enough and so he bought his first set of decks around 3 years ago and has been championing the sounds of Trance, Hard Trance & Hard Techno ever since. He takes his music extremely seriously and now draws influences from the likes of Mark EG, M-Zone, Tiesto, Carl Cox, JOOF,Scot project, Dave the Drummer, Sven wittikend and Patrik Skoog.

For the first year he locked himself away and taught himself the art of mixing until he felt confident enough to play out.

His first gig was at Edinburgh’s Club Cube alongside the likes of Beat 106 djs Trevor Reilly and Steve Kerr. This gig led to regular weekly warm up sets at the club where he developed his confidence playing in a club environment.

After a positive start to playing at Club Cube, he soon started picking up booking outside of Edinburgh at Clubs like Pulse and Full on. Soon after Diverse Boss Jay M and Greame Ross asked him to join the Diverse Dj agency. The agency holds some of the finest names presently held in the hard dance scene. And forum

Over the last 18 months Paul has started to pick up regular repeat bookings around Scotland as well as bookings in England that look to become more regular. These include, amongst others:

These gigs have seen him play alongside and advertised alongside many diverse artists including: M-Zone, Karim, Jon the Baptist, Ultrasonic, Eufex, Colin Evansdale, Mark Sherry, James Zabiela, Charlie Lownoise + Mental Theo, Dj Isaac, Jay M, Graeme Ross, Force 9, Dj Klasik, Brennan + Heart, Do Vortex, Bobby V and Lost Witness.

Paul has held two residencies @ Pulse (Glasgow) and Exposure (Glasgow) and he will soon take up his third in Glasgow, in one of the leading underground hard dance nights in the city. (tbc)

At 21 years of age, Paul is pleased to have now played in Scotland’s biggest venues, Arches, Ratt, Edinburgh Corn Exchange and the Ice Factory.

In his short time in the dance scene Paul has also dabbled in the promotion side of the industry with his own successful night “Exposure”. The philosophy behind Exposure is to provide a fresh, low cost night with the best up & coming Djs around, covering a wide range of music styles.

These nights now run bi-monthly and it does its best to promote fresh new talent in Scotland’s hard dance scene whilst also putting on some bigger names like M-zone and Jon the Baptist.

Spells on Internet radio shows have also came Paul’s way, with slots on Hot Internet radio and tranceairwaves when he had a guest on Diverse Boss Jay M’s weekly show.

Weekly shows have now also been secured on Digital dance floor radio show, which sees Paul broadcasting all things trance and techno once a week.

Plans are also in place to take a trancier show, on to the relaunch of one of the webs biggest trance shows. Details will follow soon!

Paul was also booked to tour Australia starting late November, and finishing early January. But due to migration problems that was not possible.

Paul was booked to play alongside artists such as Sharkey, Kev Energy, Organ Diners, Warp Brothers, Hixxy, Judge Jules, Scott Brown, Banga Matt, Dave Angel and Mike Humphries. Booked and confirmed gigs included Adelaide’s System 6 on Xmas day and Nye, 10 Thousand capacity Enchanted Forrest Festival on the Main stage and various club nights in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne.
