Born in Romania and raised in Toronto, Canada, Ovi M although still young in his career, has proven himself to be a versatile and unique young talent striving to perform at his very best. His determination and professionalism has him now becoming part of the most sought-after artists in the Toronto electronic music scene.

Ovi M delivers the ultimate combination of pounding beats and crowd manipulation through his music to effectively orchestrate strong energy on the dance floor. Ovi M’s primary genre of music is underground tech house and techno. His brand of house music is fuelled by rich rolling baselines, underground sounds, and killer build-ups. Ovi M’s particular track selection & unique style has now begun to ricochet throughout the scene thus making his name more recognizable and in demand.

Ovi M’s unique style has given him the opportunity to DJ at multiple parties and venues across the Greater Toronto Area. Ovi M has residencies at The Guvernment Complex, The Comfort Zone, Footwork Bar & After hours and Li’ly Resto Lounge. He has also spun at Film Lounge, Tryst, The Sound Academy, Hotel, Club 338, Ministry, The Basement, Tonic, LoKi Lounge and LOL just to name a few. In addition, Ovi M has played at Importfest, SummerMusicFest and The World Electronic Music Festival two years in a row. He is also been featured on multiple boat cruises throughout the summer and he had been acknowledged by the former Toronto radio station 246LIVE 100.7FM and by Hamilton’s Vinyl Sinners Radio 93.3FM in addition to many online radios shows as well.

Ovi M has had the opportunity to be billed with the likes of internationals such as Germany’s Lutzenkirchen, Italy’s Alex Kenji & England’s Darius Syrossian & Nyra, as well as Mendo, Coyu and Richie Santana! Ovi M regularly spins alongside Toronto favorites such as Carlo Lio, Manzone & Strong, The Junkies, Joee Cons, Nathan Barato, Deko-ze, Addy, Greg Gow, YM, Jay Force and many more!

Continuously moving forward, in fall 2009, Ovi M took it one step further and began working on his own productions. After many months of hard work and long studio hours, Ovi M sent out his first 3 tracks and they were signed on immediately by Balkan Connection South America. “Estatica”, “Follow Me” and “Sunburn” will be released this fall on Beatport as The “Ovi M Follow Me” EP. In summer of 2010 Ovi M also remixed “Fuck Miami, I’m in Detroit, Bitch” by DJ Jace, which will also be released in fall 2010 by Fine Grind Audio. Although still new to production, Ovi M’s cutting edge ideas and stern dedication will continue to fuel him to create tracks and future collaborations.
