Nuno Rozz Beatport

Biography

Nuno has been following his passion for music and honing his talents for more than 15 years, but only in 1998, Nuno Rozz initiates its career as DJ.

With only 18 years Nuno began as resident DJ in the bar Kapital, located in the south area of Lisbon.

After a couple of DJing , Nuno is invited to inaugurate the bar called Remedio Santo in the Southern side of Lisbon (a place called Costa de Caparica, with beautiful beaches), which quickly became a truly icon in the Portuguese dance scene. 1 Year later, the same owners also invited Nuno to launch RS Klub, where he is currently working as a resident DJ along with his “mate” Paulo Passos, with their weekly “back 2 back” performances.

Since then, Nuno performed in innumerable parties, sharing the decks with a series of national and international DJs such as: Dj Chus, D-Formation, Julian Poker, Luca Ricci, Mark Doyle, Pete Tha Zouk, Carlos Manaa, Frank Maurel, Redkone, among many others.

Nuno have many influences from Mr. Louie Vega to Dennis Ferrer, Danny Tenaglia, Joesky, Eric Kupper, Jon Cutler and many more.

As a producer, for Nuno there are no boundaries, where he blends a wide range of styles of music, from deep and funky grooves to crispy and chunky progressive/tribal beats.

As a result of his “open-mind” style of music, last year he released 2 tracks in a collaboration with dj /producer Massivedrum, for a compilation called “Keepin’ It Underground” by Dj Mario Calegari (a well known name in the american progressive scene) and another track called “My Mind”, included in 2 compilations: “Stacked Vol One” (Open Bar) and “Deep Cutz 2” (Deep Organic House).

This year Nuno released his full debut release called “Lisbon Calling”, a 6 track EP for the irish label Queep Organic House. Also, another track is waiting to be released by the portuguese label Loop 128, and many more is yet to come.
