After over 10 years of practice and thousands spent on music, Nick Coulson finally made his breakthrough onto the UK club scene in 2009. However, it wasn’t until April 2010 when Nick caught the attention of former voted World Number 35 DJ Jason Kinch (DJ JFK) that things really started to progress. Jason recognized Nick’s talent both as an entertaining DJ and promoter and took him under his wing as his mentor.

Nicks first credible booking came shortly after on May 2nd 2010 with a main stage performance warming up for Swedish Superstar ERIC PRYDZ. This was only the start of things to come as Nick’s versatility and ability to play across multi genres of dance music secured bookings at events featuring industry leading artists in the House, Electro and Trance fields including the likes of SANDER VAN DOORN, Chuckie, CALVIN HARRIS & EDDIE HALLIWELL.

By October 2010 Nick was gaining interest from various UK Clubs and Superbrand’s and made his debut at the infamous WAREHOUSE PROJECT in Manchester on October 8th 2010 which featured Vandit main man PAUL VAN DYK, CHRIS LAKE & JOHN DAHLBACK. After impressing, Nick was invited back to perform on Boxing Day where ABOVE & BEYOND, GARETH EMERY, MAT ZO & SOPHIE SUGAR headlined the main room.

In November 2010 Nick took his services abroad and made his international debut at MINISTRY OF SOUNDEUPHORIA, Kuala Lumpur (Asia’s Biggest Superclub) playing alongside Miami’s PATRICK OLIVER in the main arena. After multiple appearances at MOS and other Asia based venues during his trip Nick was penciled in for some new dates in 2011.

Nick ended a very successful 2010 making his debut appearance for KISS DA FUNK on December 27th and performed in the GATECRASHER arena at ‘Festival De La Dance’ on New Year’s Eve playing alongside SIDNEY SAMSON, MICHAEL WOODS, KUTSKI, JFK & D.O.D.

In 2010 Nick featured on over 70 different line-ups and promoted 16 of his own club events.

Nick kicked off 2011 with a number of gigs in Asia including further appearances for MINISTRY OF SOUNDEUPHORIA and in February 2011 Nick was signed to OMERTA RECORDS with good friend STEVE BONHAM under their new production alias ‘ESSBENCI’. Their first track ‘BREATHE’ was penciled in for a release early April on all major online digital record stores worldwide.

Same month Nick became the UKS YOUNGEST SUPERCLUB PROMOTER at just 25 after being handed over the reigns of head promoter and resident DJ at the UK’s biggest Superclub THE SYNDICATE SUPERCLUB Blackpool.

1st April Nick’s debut track ‘Breathe’ went global and reached an impressive Number 3 position in the TRACKITDOWN TOP 100 PROGRESSIVE CHART.
