More Music

Mr. Vega’s heart has always been in house music since a young boy watching his father DJ house parties in New York in the early 80s. First starting as a Hip Hop producer before crossing over to electronic music, he was still influenced by the sounds of Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Masters At Work, Chip E, Adonis, Junior Sanchez, Daft Punk, Carl Cox, and more. Growing tired of the redundant hip hip scene he stumbled on to Justices “Cross” & Boys Noizes “Oi Oi Oi” and instantly he knew what he wanted to do with his life. Vega’s style has become unique and versatile with every track produced being distinctively different from the next. From the hard fist pumping anthems to slower melodic dance hits he covers every aspect of electronic music and he does it very well.

2009 was the breakout year for Mr. Vega flooding the blog scene with popular remixes for the likes of Yuksek, Dragonette, Franz Ferdinand, Lady Gaga, Passion Pit, Felix Da Housecat, Tiga, Royksopp & Phoenix. Near the closing of 09 he digitally released his first official single “I Came To, You Came To” on Kiss My Bass Recordings. The single was a huge success overseas receiving loads of blog support and DJ support especially from NY Trouble & Bass DJ/Producer Drop The Lime who was quoted as saying “ I Came To, You Came To, was big in my sets…”.

Vega started off his 2010 with the start of his own imprint Rot10 Musik and the first official release “Play Me At Pacha Louder”. The single is already circulating through the DJ scene and was featured in IHeartComix DJ Franki Chan’s January Podcast for and is also being supported by Mstrkrft. 2010 saw his singles/remixes “Drop Like A Seizure”, “High Enough”, “All Mine”, “SuperNova”, “Dooze Jackers – Kizzz Dynasty Remix”, “ZEDS DEAD – Rude Boy (Mr. Vega Remix)” all debuted on BBC Radio 1 by Kissy Sell Out. He Also had 2 of his tracks played in Wolfgang Gartners Essential Mix on Radio 1 Nov 6th. Mr. Vega’s track “Bandulu” was featured in Canblaster’s recent XLR8R mix, MikIX The Cat’s ADD Mix 4 and Spun by Laidback Luke & Joachim Garraud on Club FG radio.

Mr. Vega also had his single “High Enough” reviewed in the August 2010 issue of Future Music Magazine.

Currently Mr. Vega has a ton of music coming out in 2011 on labels such as Top Billin, Dim Mak and Southern Fried and more.
