A sensual sensation of groove-inducing rhythm and vibes, Miss Watts (born Mary Watts) is a house music ultra vixen. From Columbian Hot House to Columbus Cool (Watts’ hometown), she draws her influences from the very best of soul, R&B and all things electronic. Spanning San Francisco to Los Angeles, where Miss Watts now resides, Mary has been behind the turntables for more than a decade; seducing party-goers and music lovers with her sweet, sweet sounds…

Enter ’91, the beat was underground and emerging, Miss Watts was at the forefront of the electronic music industry from the get go. Booking prominent DJ’s such as Derrick Carter (Chicago) and Mark Farina (San Francisco) at major venues and promoting revolutionizing events. This glossed Miss Watt’s lips with a taste of things to come. She hosted, promoted, and finally debuted as the first female headlining Midwest DJ. She landed prime residencies at highly respected venues such as Mekka, and The Red Zone between ’93 and ’96. These permanent gigs and many live performances at house parties, fashion, and art shows has put her name on lips across the country.

With a background in Interior Design, Miss Watts incorporates aesthetic sensibilities of music into contemporary furniture showrooms by performing live at design shows and events. In 1996, San Francisco became her new oasis. Her reputation preceded her while making her way to the west coast. She has graced the decks at numerous elite venues including The Top, Manhattan Lounge, Skylark, Betalounge.com, and The End Up, and also held weekly residencies at Backflip and Sno-Drift. Watts has had the pleasure to work alongside countless world-renowned talents such as The Rurals, DJ Gemini, Tony Humphries, Juan Atkins, David Alvarado and Marques Wyatt. 2001 saw Mary relocating to Los Angeles to pursue her career in Interior Design, while taking a short hiatus from DJ’ing. Currently, she is back deeper than ever and continues to remain faithful to her first love – music. She has recently been spotted playing all over the country at venues such as The Standard Hotel on Sunset, Rebirth Los Angeles, Sapphire NYC, and currently holds a residency at Star Shoes LA. Miss Watts continues to spread her magic with smooth, seductive, and soulful house vibes.
