Biography

Mike Zuzolo is a Space Systems Engineer and DJ in the Washington, D.C. area. Mike discovered electronic music in 1997 and has been hooked since. He has been experimenting with music synthesis and production software and hardware since 2001. In the summer of 2004 he purchased his Technics decks and has been spinning since. His sets usually feature musical genres from progressive and electro house all the way to hard, banging techy trance, his tracks chosen by his sense of the crowd. “Being a good DJ is a lot like being a good lover,” he believes. “You have to keep the crowd interested, excited, and know how to fulfill their needs.”

In the Fall of 2005, Mike formed the Michigan Electronic Dance Music Association (MEDMA), a University of Michigan student organization to promote electronic dance music in the Ann Arbor, MI area and beyond. MEDMA enjoyed many fine events from DJs such as REiNKE, Alex Vendramini, Retrobyte, and Mike himself. Mike has since stepped aside as MEDMA coordinator upon his departure from the southeast Michigan area. However, return appearances should be expected.
