Michael Duretto is considered by many to be one of the nations most respected, experienced and technically gifted DJs. Subjectivity aside, Michael won the “Best DJ of 2000” at the West Hollywood Awards and was nominated for “Best DJ of 2001”. Michael held the prestigious role as late night resident DJ for the legendary private membership night club, “Probe” in Los Angeles, for six continuous years. The next year and a half, he held the highly sought after position as resident late night DJ at LA circuit favorite, Icon night club, followed by a one year residency at Sandy Sach’s state of the art night club The Factory. Needing a change of pace, Michael accepted a Friday Night Residency at the Here Lounge, owned by the highly successful group from G Bar in New York. Over the next sixteen months, Here Lounge became the place to be on Friday nights. Looking to the future, studies completed, in 2003 Michael added to his accomplishments the title of Sound Engineer. Throughout this hectic schedule Michael has continued performing for special engagements at national and international events.

October 2003 marked a milestone in Michael’s career as he celebrated his 10 year anniversary. He’s worked with performers such as “Sunscreem”, “Grace”, “Jennifer Holiday”, “Happy Clappers”, “Vernessa Mitchell”, “Lisa Frazier”, “Jeannie Tracy”, “Lonnie Gordon”, “Pat Hodges” “RKM” and “Pepper Mashay” to name a few. Through the years he has had the opportunity of headlining with exceptional DJ’s such as Susan Morabito, Warren Gluck, Buc, Abel, Manny Lehman, Phil B, Robbie Leslie, Lydia Prim, Michael Fierman, Mark Tarbox, Neil Lewis, Darrin Arrowood, Roland Belmares, Bryan Pfeifer, and recently headlined with Peter Rauhofer on MLK Weekend for Vision @Avalon (L.A.) to a sold out performance .

Michael Duretto entered the world of remixing with a bang. His first CD single remix “Satisfied” by Erin Hamilton sprang to the top of the charts in record time and remained there for weeks. Such successes led Michael to the eventual release of his own CD. “EVOLUTION” was nationally released in April 2000 by Trax Recording. It soon became evident that Michael would find himself back in the studio as record store demands for “EVOLUTION” grew. Michael Duretto’s “EVOLUTION, TWO” followed. Released in April of 2001, Michael has received much praise for his creativity and originality on this project.
