A world of sound around her from a young age, Michelle Sanz began her music delights from grade school, belting out Jody Watley covers and dancing her heart out for any audience she could get. At the age of 5, Michelle tapped dance for a few years and fell in love again with dancing again at the age of 15, when she became a part of a dance collective. Aside from dance, Michelle has always had a passion for searching for the best music to her ears’ delight, in hopes that others would appreciate her selections. “I’ve always loved music and was constantly trying to find the newest tracks that I could introduce to others.” Cut to years later and you can find her up to the same old business, plus a lot of knob tweaking and house anthems. Michelle’s charisma and personality are such a strong reflection of her versatile musical selection that she has solidly secured a home within one of the Bay Area’s truest house collectives, the Housewives, sister to the talented Housemen collective, and is also affiliated with the Endup, Soul Camp, Drift and Temple SF. For the past seven years now, after thousand of downloads and stacks of vinyl, Michelle has used this local avenue to let the world hear her soulful, jazzy, deep, groovy, funky sounds, that she chose strictly from the heart.
Michelle has graced the decks with her talents at many bay area house venues, including the Endup’s T-Dance, Temple Saturdays, Mars Bar, Supperclub, 111 Minna, Azul, DNA lounge as well as Cardiff Lounge, B412 , theVault and Detox Pool Party in the South Bay and many more. She has had the privilege of traveling out of the bay area as she has played gigs in Hawaii, Miami, San Diego and Las Vegas. Michelle carefully chooses her house selections to cater to the crowd and to take the dance floor on a melodic journey. While Michelle loves nothing more than to deejay and make people dance, she plans to start producing and eventually become a house vocalist as well, so that she will be able to share her very own music. Michelle is a San Francisco favorite with dancers and fellow deejays – you can find her energy constantly moving from behind the decks or on the floor; either way, she brings life to the house dance floor, which, undoubtedly, is what makes her stand out in the house scene we love to be a part of.
