Singer and producer Matt Lorentzen has spent his life making music. He graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Voice.
His first release, a collaboration with trance duo ‘Lost Knowledge’, was a cover of Richard Marx’s classic ‘Hazard’. This quickly became a favourite of DJ’s around Australia and the UK. It was released on the compilation albums ‘Ruby Trance – Volume’ and ‘Mad about the Boy – Volume 14’.
Soon after Matt produced his own remix of ‘Magic’ from the film Xanadu, and Klone Records, UK, released the song.
Matt moved to London in 2006. Since then he has collaborated with some of the worlds best producers such as Twisted Dee, Alan X, Sordid Soundz, and Dany Wild, Morgan King, Marco Zappala, Wael B, and Aji Mon Nair.
Matt’s recent releases include Angels are watching me, Sweat, and Garden of Eden. His track ‘Claim the night’ was a hit in Switzerland where it was released on the ‘Ugly House Gold’ compilation series.
Recently Matt formed his own vocal hosue label Hot Tub Records. Its first release ‘Freak show’, with remixes by Matt, Felipe Capri, Distant Keys and Semion Berkovitch, was a DJ favourite for Halloween this October.
The follow up track ‘Wait for the Summer’ with remixes by Matt, Wael B, and Aji Mon Nair is out now.
