In 1993 dj Mars pushed for a new sound in San Francisco that helped change dance music culture in America. Considered the pioneer of Cybertrance, Mars has attained a cult-like following for his distinctive sound. Creating music for his international record label Frequency 8, Mars is recognized as one of the most influential American dance music producers today.
Performing with all his own original music, Mars has played to over 45,000 people at some of the largest dance events in U.S. history. As a major influence on Trance music, he has received press from Billboard magazine, Urb magazine, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Weekly, Wired and MTV.
During the past 13 years, he has produced over 36 internationally released songs of his signature “Cybertrance” sound and has played events alongside some of the biggest names in dance music including BT, Armin Van Helden, Carl Cox, Benny Benassi, Paul Oakenfold and Tiesto.
For his second full length album “Alienaided,” Mars has branched out and collaborated with Donald Glaude, the Jungle Brothers and the legendary George Clinton. Currently he is doing remix work for producers, djs, and artists including Alicia Keys.
