Mark Jackus started beeing a DJ while he was 14.

Born and raised in Dortmund – one of the most popular Towns for Graffitti in Europe – he was part of the big Hip Hop and Breakdance scene.

Here he gets in touch with his first Acid House Vinyls like „Turn up the Bass“ ( Tyree Cooper), „Black out“ (Lil Louis) or „Let´s Go“ (Fast Eddie) and found his passion for House Music.

He bought himself 2 Turntables and from now he was DJ.

He started to play his first importand Gigs in the age of 15 as DJ aMaZe.

Clubs like Planet, Unit, Baikonur, Phutur Club and Playground became his home and residenies.

Mark cancelled his career as Football Player and decide for a Life behind the desks.

In 1996 he had his first studio internship at Denmark Entertainment.

He started to work with the legendary ATARI, had his first experiences with sampling and also learned the most important things about studio & soundmachines.

In 2003 he met his studio partner – Massimo Santucci and they decided to work together.

With Massimos jazz and percussion background as musician and Marks experiences as DJ close to the audience and the freshest tunes on the dancefloor they create a very unique sound.

Marks first release„Black Diva“ came outin 2004 and was signed under DJ aMaZe on Trust your Tribe Rec.

Many Releases on international Labels like Insert Coin, Baroque, Distinto, Tropical Beats followed and had been played and supported by many Djs like Mark Knight, Steve Lawler, Superflu, hernan Cattaneo and more.

His latest Release in early 2011 is an Remix of Audionaticas Club bomb „Deep Soul“ was signed on the Swiss Label GON.

Since 2006 he is presenting his own Club Project called CUSCUS. It includes a cooperation with the WWF Germany

Here he presents Highlights of the electronic dance music.

With this Project he even took Part at the Loveparade 2008 in his Hometown Dortmund and in 2010 in Duisburg with an own Float and received an Award from the UNESCO in 2009.

In 2010 he and his Team took the animals on a Tour through Germanies Club Scene.

Now he is DJ for more than 18 years and he already played with an incredible list of national & international DJs.

His absolute highlights had been playing with Jeff Mills all night long and the “back to back” set with Phillip/M.A.N.D.Y

His music is influenced by the Hall of Fame of House Music History.

Artists like Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Jeff Mills, Armando, DJ Pierre(specially because of his Wild Pitch Style), Sven Väth and Laurent Garnier created his musically universe and gave his sets the special touch.

His style is club music from House to Techno-sometimes more jacky sometimes more pumpy-but allways the right sound in the right situation that make the people want to move!
