Marco Polo began playing for fun with his friends from high school, as they owned a dj company responsible for hall parties and weddings and events that were quite similar. Living in Toronto in 1988 he heard acid house on the radio, dialing up CFNY in which Chris Sheppard and Deadly Headly were playing late weekends.
He then began buying records even though he nor his family owned turntables. He later moved back to Edmonton in 1991. Even though he was still very much into the music back then he never really got into playing seriously and buying records frequently until 1999. Today he is just now getting back into the habits he had to put aside for a few years until now.
