José Manuel Roca, better known as Manuel Rocca, from Venezuela, South America, is a young talent of the electronic music scene. He began his career as Trance Producer/Dj in 2008. From very early age, shows his interest for the music, learning to play instruments like guitar, electric bass and drums. But, it is in 2005 when he got wrapped by the electronic music, specially by the trance music.
He is influenced by artists such as Armin Van Buuren, Airbase, Paul Van Dyk, Aly & Fila, Daniel Kandi, Above & Beyond, Nitrous Oxide, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Sean Tyas, Temple One, 7 Skies, Static Blue, Sebastian Brandt, Bjorn Akesson, Oliver P, Ferry Tayle and many more.
At the end of 2007, Manuel begins to be interested on music production and djing, and gradually has been getting his technique perfected, resulting in sounds and mixes of great quality. In 2010 he manages to release his first EP: “White Clouds/Abstract Dreams” under a new label from Venezuela named “Only Trance Records”, supported by DJs like Simon Bostock, Suzy Solar and more. Also, achieves to sign his single “Open Sea” with the prestigious label “Silent Shore Records”, which would be released by the end of that same year. Around middle of 2011 signed his track “Aquamarine” with “Unearthed Records”. In 2013 he signs with the world-renowned label Alter Ego Records. Early in 2014 Manuel joins forces with ReOrder’s label Silent Shore Records and starts his own Sub-label called ‘Levitated Music’. 2015 is the year that Manuel achieves to sign on FSOE, Aly & Fila’s label and part of the world biggest trance label, Armada Music, giving way to a new stage in his artistic career.
His tracks and remixes have been supported by artists like Armin Van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Solarstone, The Thrillseekers, Markus Schulz, Roger Shah, Bobina, Sean Tyas, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Alex M.O.R.P.H, M.I.K.E, Jorn Van Deynhoven, Manuel Le Saux, John O’Callaghan, Stoneface & Terminal, Ferry Tayle, Woody van Eyden, John Askew, Daniel Kandi, Fast Distance, ReOrder, Ashley Wallbridge, Mark Sherry, Ernesto vs. Bastian, Airbase, Binary Finary and many other.
About his career as a dj, he has performed at some events in his country, but at the end of 2011 he started to play internationally. Besides, for two years, Manuel had his own radio show called “White Clouds”, broadcasted every 4th Thursday of the month on the best trance radio around the world Afterhours FM.
