L’ora meaning ‘of the hour’ in Spanish seemed the perfect name for this 26 year old when starting out Dj’ing in the London music scene. Having first been driven to the decks whilst partying with friends, L’ora discovered her passion for the Latino and soulful sounds simply by “feeling the excitement right down to my bones”.

Laura was born and grew up in Durban, South Africa but moved to London when she was only seventeen to “find something more”. Working in London’s club-land for the next few years gave her an understanding of what really makes a good night out…….the sounds.

Having befriended many people in the music business Laura found nothing gave her the same buzz as being in the ultimate VIP room the DJ booth. She put all her of her money into her first set of decks to set about perfecting her skills and found herself playing her first set at the exclusive Mayfair Club. DJ L’ora was born.

It was at the same venue she was spotted by a promoter who whisked her off to St Tropez, playing to the Elite set, not only in the clubs but also for private yacht parties sailing around the Med. Since then there has been nothing stopping her spreading her unique party sound internationally. Traveling to Hong Kong, Spain and even finding time to return to her home town in South Africa to the rock the Clubs. She has even caught the eye of MTV who recently flew her out to Lanzerote to play an exclusive party for Puma. The summer took Laura to Majorca where she was invited to play as a guest Dj at The Bed Bar and exclusive Windmill club.

Winter has just begun and already Laura has been invited to be a monthly resident at the Famous Kristall parties held in Vienna. Pommery champagne has also taken a huge interest in Laura, and have asked her play for their recently introduced Pink Pop parties in Salzburg.

The demand in London is equally as high with clubs including Abigail’s Party, L’quippe Anglais, The Wellington Cub, Funky Buddha, No 5 Cavendish Square, Aka, Opium, Tantra and 57 Jermyn Street. On Thursdays and Fridays you can catch Laura spinning up a storm at Home House.

Is there any stopping this girl……..we think not!
