As founder of London Electronic Orchestra, Kate Simko’s all-embracing, multidisciplinary approach to composition evinces her background as a classical pianist and electronic music producer. Simko began DJ’ing at the Chicago’s WNUR radio station and taking jazz piano lessons, which inspired her interest in composing. Her success in the time since has been astonishing – Simko has written music for film and TV and taken the stage at forward-thinking music festivals around the world. In 2014 Kate completed a post-graduate degree in Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music, where she formed the LEO. Kate Simko & London Electronic Orchestra have performed at a variety of high profile events, including the National Gallery, iTunes Festival at the Roundhouse, LEAF festival, and Boiler Room in Ibiza.
